I’ve heard and seen this story countless times with the mums I’ve been privileged enough to work with, in the voices of women who tell me they feel invisible in motherhood, and in the quiet struggles no one talks about.
Why I Do This
I’m Dr. Alria Williams, a Clinical Psychologist and CBT therapist with over a decade of experience in mental health, working in both NHS and private practice. But the work that truly resonates with my heart, is supporting new mums through the profound shift of matrescence (i.e., the process of becoming a mother). Â
You may be sitting there thinking, 'I need to fix myself to feel better.' And if that is you, I agree, it can certainly feel that way. AND here's the truth: you don’t need fixing. You need a safe, supportive space to reconnect with yourself, rebuild your confidence, and feel seen as a whole woman, not just a mum.
